WHAT: A party
WHERE: The Leaky Cauldron
WHEN: Evening
WHO: Anyone welcome. Well, almost anyone.

Malcolm looked around the pub with satisfaction. The place wasn't all that bad, when it was cleaned up a bit, and deserted. He was forced to do most of the cleaning himself, but he figured it was worth it for a clean environment.

He nodded, and straightned a chair in front of him, inching closer to examine the table. He rubbed at a water spot, with his sleep and instantly regretted it. He was wearing a silk, dark green shirt and black pants.

He was still in awe over the fact that he convinced the pub owners to let him have the place for a night. It took passionate convincing, and loads of galleons besides. Still, it was far worth it. The pub was a much nicer place to him than his own home, no matter how worn the place looked.

He heard the door opening last night, and turned to look expectingly at his first guest.

Blaise slipped into the pub, shutting the door behind him and shucking his cloak from his shoulders. He hung the black cloth on a nearby coat peg and glanced arounf the room. He smirked, spying Malcolm, and came into the room a bit furthur, his smirk widening into a pleasant smile.

There was always a sort of fraternal goodwill between the Slytherin males. Blaise felt at home with them. It was almost as though they were extended family.

"Ah, Blaise," Malcolm grinned.

He stepped closer to his fellow Slytherin, extending his hand. "Good to see you mate. Make yourself at home."

Blaise took Malcolm's hand in a firm grasp and shook it jovially, replying, "Good to be here. Glad I can spend some time with someone other than my parents and a couple of bloody Ravenclaws."

He threw himself into a chair and rested on arm on the table, still talking. "So who else is coming to this little get-together?"

Malcolm settled himself into a chair across from Blaise, stretching luxuriously over the back of it.

"No idea. Whoever shows up, and whoever I tolerate," Malcolm said, and then considered. "Not many, then."

Blaise laughed, throwing his head back as he did. Calming a bit, he said, "I expect we'll see Davis, eh? And with her comes Pansy, I'd assume...What about Master Malfoy? Now that should be extremely interesting."

Malcolm nodded, rubbing his chin in thought. "Yes..Trace is coming. And Pansy I presume, because Tracey is staying with her."

Malcolm laughed. "Oh, I think I would enjoy having Malfoy grace my party with his presence...Should be amusing, at any rate."

Blaise sniggered cruelly at the thought of a public confrontation between Patrick Chambers and Draco Malfoy - it didn't take a leap of genius to realise that Draco and Pansy would have made up by now, simply for the sex.

"Pity you didn't invite the Ravenclaws," he muttered, sneering. "It would have been some great entertainment."

slight curses could be heard, along with a door shutting. Tracey scooted inside, and put her coat with another one on the rack.

She stepped into the main area of the pub, with a small scowl on her face, and a desperate need for a drink.

She had let Pansy dress her up for Malcolm's party. Big mistake that was. She was clad in a slim, sleeveless black dress. Her dark hair was always down, which was also a rarity, but her usual serious look was still on her face.

"Well, I didn't quite exclude them either, so the braver ones may show still," Malcolm said, looking toward the door and the noise.

"It certainly would be funny to see..," Malcolm said, watching Tracey walk up. "Hey Trace," He said, coughing slightly, unsure of what to say to her...transformation.

"That's true," Blaise replied, smirking. "I'd love to see Chambers drag in his little Hufflepuff skag."

Blaise glanced at the door and raised his brows in surprise. Tracey Davis had dressed herself up - and the transformation was quite nice, though any Slytherin could tell just who had done the makeover.

Thank you, Pansy Parkinson.

"Well, well. Look who's a girl," he said, laughing softly. "'lo Tracey."

Tracey gave a mock curtsey in Blaise's direction after his remark, but smiled all the same.

"Malcolm," She said with a nodd in her friends direction. "I don't suppose you have any alcohol on hand do you?" It was a night for a drink.

Malcolm laughed at Blaise's comment. 'Too right' He thought, with a smirk.

"There might be some behind the bar. You can look for some, if you'd like. If you find any, please bring it out, as well," Malcolm said. He had forgotten to get the drinks out.

Tracey nodded. "You boys want anything?"

"I'd like some firewhiskey, if you can find anything," Malcolm said lazily, stifling a yawn.

Blaise smirked. "It's so nice to have good service in such a lovely gown. I'll have whatever he's having."

Stretching his legs out, then crossing them so his right ankle rested on his left knee, he said, "It's a shame we can't get in touch with the rest of the Slytherins. Crabbe and Goyle would be excellent for a wrestling match."

He thought about it and ammended, "Though, come to think of it, the last time we did that to them, they broke a table."

Tracey's eyes narrowed at Blaise's comment, but walked to the bar without another word.

"Damn dress," She said, along with other pointless curses as she bent on all fours, looking through cabinets, and examining taps for something suitable to drink.

Malcolm shook with silent laughter.

"Oh, I don't know," He smirked, and gave the table a shake. "This seems relatively sturdy."

"Well, then, if you're sure, maybe we could induce Tracey and Pansy to substitute for Vincent and Gregory. What do you think?" Blaise gave Tracey a mock-leer.

There was something about antagonising the other Slytherins that made him feel quite at home with them. There would never be any serious confrontation between them.

Not yet, anyway.

Malcolm laughed, and walked up to meet Daphne.

Earlier that evening, Daphne had flooed to her cousins house, and left for the Leakey Cauldron from there. Her father knew she was meeting Pansy and Tracey, that much was the truth, but not where or even why. Had he known she was going to the Leakey Cauldron, he would have protested. Daphne believed what he didn't know wouldn't hurt him, and devoutly hoped he'd never find out.

Stepping into the Leakey Cauldron, she recognised three of her friends - Blaise, Malcolm and Tracey. She made her way over to them to say hello.

"Daphne," Malcolm grinned, walking up to her. "Lovely to see you. How are you?"

"I'm fine now that I'm here," Daphne replied with a smile. "How are you doing? Do you like it here?" She looked beyond Malcolm then waved at Tracey and Blaise.

"Oh," Said Malcolm, looking around the place. "It sure the hell beats homelife at the moment, if you ask me."
